Federation Nation is just $20 a year    CEDAR RAPIDS BASSMASTERS A PROUD MEMBER CLUB OF CEDAR RAPIDS BASSMASTERS We are a non-profit organization and chapter of B.A.S.S. and a proud member of the Iowa State Federation. The Cedar Rapids club is the oldest and most respected in eastern Iowa. Voted CHAPTER OF THE YEAR in 1988. We spend many hours helping our community, we currently host a Youth Club of over 30 members and currently accepting new youth members. Cedar Rapids Bassmaster also host the annual Ice Fisheree at Pleasant Creek, which is open to the public. We are a competitive club with all classes of bass fisherman from seasoned anglers that have fished The B.A.S.S. Elite Series to novice anglers, eager to learn. You do not need a boat or fancy equipment to be a member of the Cedar Rapids Bassmaster, all that’s required is a desire to compete, learn and share with your fellow anglers. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Longbranch Hotel in Cedar Rapids, which is located at 90 Twixt Town Rd. Meetings Begin at 7:00pm Becoming a Member: In order to apply for membership for The Cedar Rapids Bassmasters you must first be a member of BASS (to become a member of BASS go online to www.bassmaster.com ) Attend a meeting. After attending your first meeting you would receive an application to complete and return. The following month you would be considered for membership into the chapter. Each club sponsor is then expected to fish one tournament with you and to assist you in securing a partner in other than the draw tournaments. Dues are only $70 per year upon acceptance into the club. Tournaments: You will want to review the by-laws and tournament rules. The majority of our tournaments are held on the Mississippi in between La Crosse and Fort Madison. We also send two teams to the State Federation Tournaments each year. These teams consist of the top twelve anglers from the previous year. These teams are then eligible to qualify for the divisional and national federation tournaments that lead to the BASSMASTERS Classic. You will want to discuss sharing expenses with your partner prior to any tournament, traditionally consisting of gas, lodging, and meals. This year we have a full schedule of club tournaments. Listed below you will see where we will be fishing. You could be too, and it starts by coming to your first meeting.
